Preparation in the rain did not help: St. Petersburg utility workers could not cope with the overnight snowfall

On the night of November 15, the first major snowfall of the season hit St. Petersburg. While the citizens wandered along the unmade paths trying not to fall and hurt themselves, the utilities were most likely at a loss for weather. At the same time, St. Petersburg utility workers were preparing for bad weather and even held a training session, though at that moment it was raining, not snowing. When it came time to remove the real snow, it turned out that one training session was not enough.

The winter of 2021 will long be remembered by residents of St. Petersburg. Unpaved roads and icy sidewalks ceased to be a problem only with the arrival of spring. Now there is a fear that communal collapse will become a trend for this snow season as well.
