Instead of 47 roubles, which are debited from the "Unified card of a Petersburger" for a single journey, they were charged 70 roubles. Many people discovered the "shortfall" after the fact, when they started to receive messages from their mobile phones about the debit.

The reason in the St. Petersburg underground management called a technical failure, and at separate stations and on different branches. Thus, the fare "went up" at "Petrogradskaya" of the second, blue line, and "Proletarskaya" - on the third, green branch.

According to the Metro press service, the malfunction has been eliminated, information about the problem has been transferred to the bank, but the money is unlikely to be returned to passengers. However, few people noticed the malfunction, because 70 rubles per trip are really deducted if you pay with a Visa or Mastercard card - who still have them.
