St. Petersburg authorities are not going to open food courts in near future

St. Petersburg authorities do not plan to open food courts and cinemas in the near future due to the danger of a second wave of coronavirus in the autumn.

According to "Fontanka.ru," the vice-governor of St. Petersburg, Yevgeny Elin, said that food courts and cinemas do not open in the coming weeks.

According to him, on August 16 it is planned to resume the work of institutions of special and additional education, although with some restrictions. At the same time, the opening of food courts and cinemas is not discussed at all.

Elin noted that in the autumn universities and schools start, people return from vacation, so it is unknown what will happen to morbidity.

The vice-governor also added that Petersburgers can do without food courts, since there are cafes and dining rooms where they can eat.
