High-speed «Strizh» will start running from St. Petersburg to Volga region

The company «Russian Railways» is going to run a high-speed train «Strizh» from St. Petersburg to Samara in August and early September.

According to the press service of Russian Railways, the high-speed train, which can reach up to 200 km/h, will start running between St. Petersburg and Samara in late August and early September.

The first “Strizh” journey No. 713/714 is scheduled for August 21. The train will depart from St. Petersburg to Samara, and from Samara - August 22.

On the way there will be following stations: Moscow (Kursk station), Vladimir, Kovrov, Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod (Strigino), Arzamas, Saransk and Syzran.

From the northern capital, in August the train departs on odd-numbered dates, as well as on September 2 and 4 at 00:45 and arrives in Samara at 19:50 of the same day. In the opposite direction, the train departs from Samara on even dates in August, as well as on September 1, 3 and 5 at 00:20 and arrives in St. Petersburg at 19:20 of the same day.
