This winter in St. Petersburg will certainly be remembered as one of the snowiest in recent years. The snowfall is systematically falling on the city, forming high snow drifts.

Meteorologists of St. Petersburg on January 10, fixed a record since the beginning of winter the amount of snowfall. The leading expert of the center Phobos Mikhail Leus noted that the height of the snow cover in the Northern Capital reached 37 centimeters, which is one centimeter more than was recorded a day earlier.

Also the "snow record" has been updated in the territory of Leningrad region - the height of the snow cover reached 66 centimeters in Lodeynoe Pole. The same level of snow was recorded in the city of Tikhvin.
