In the first quarter of 2023 the number of elite apartments for sale in St. Petersburg increased only by 1% and reached 131 thousand square meters, reports "Business Petersburg", referring to the report of NF Group.

In total there have been sold 38 apartments for the first three months of the year with a total area of about 5,1 thousand square meters, which is 60% less than the number of transactions for the same period last year, and 19% less than in October-December 2022.

As experts of the real estate market believe, such a collapse is due to both economic and psychological reasons.

However, it is noted that despite the collapse of the market the price for "elite" by the end of the quarter remained at the previous level - 541 thousand rubles per 1 sq. m., and the leaders are still Petrogradsky district, which accounts for 65% of all transactions. At the same time, realtors expect a revival already this quarter in the secondary housing market.
