Some of them returned home unharmed on their own, the search for the others is still ongoing. Law enforcers note that out of nearly six dozen applications, 27 boys and 30 girls were wanted. Another frightening fact is that teenage girls are more likely to run away from home. The reason is quite banal - a quarrel with their parents. The younger generation prefers not to sort things out, but simply leaves in an unknown direction.

This was the case with one of the families living in the Frunzensky district of St. Petersburg. After a brief verbal altercation, the eighth-grader slammed the door and ran off into the night. Fortunately, the next day the rebel returned home on her own and in good condition.

Disturbingly, there is a large percentage of kids among the missing who can't yet do without parental supervision. They are helped by volunteers of the Search and Rescue Squad.

By the way, in June the number of missing children was slightly less - 49.
