One of the banks in St. Petersburg launched in the test mode of a new type of housing loan for employees - "corporate mortgage", reports RBC.
The concept of this program is that the organization-employer assumes part of the monthly mortgage payment for his employee. This approach is aimed at attracting and retaining qualified personnel, as well as increasing the level of loyalty to the company. However, in case an employee decides to quit his job in the future, he will have to repay the rest of the mortgage amount in full by himself.
As an illustration, experts give a calculation for a family mortgage with a rate of 5.65%, which the company will partially compensate. For example, for a loan of five million rubles for up to 30 years, the employer may provide a subsidy of 3%, which will allow the client to reduce the rate to 2.35%. Thus, the compensation from the company will amount to 12,000 rubles, and the employee will have to make a monthly payment of 22,168 rubles as a mortgage.
The program is currently operating in pilot mode. The first company to participate in this initiative was the St. Petersburg Metro. However, it is planned that in the future this experience will be extended to a wider audience and will be applied in other enterprises.
