One of the largest St. Petersburg milk producers Piskarevsky Dairy Plant warned about the rise in prices. This was reported by "RBK St. Petersburg".

According to the company's commercial director Georgy Zhitmarev, the product prices are going to increase by 6-8%. As a result, starting from December the selling price of a liter of pasteurized milk will amount to 55 rubles. Accordingly, it will cost approximately 65 rubles in the stores. Other milk producers are also expected to raise prices in the near future.

The last time a manufacturer raised the price of a product was a year ago. Now the decision was made due to the increase in the price of raw milk, which also increased due to the increase in the cost of animal feed. Also, aluminum and polystyrene became more expensive, due to which the cost of packaging increased several times a year. The introduction of mandatory labeling of dairy products will entail an additional 1 ruble for the buyer from each package of milk.
