On the website of the organizer of the auction "DOM.rf" appeared an announcement about the sale of the House of the Second Mutual Credit Society of pre-revolutionary construction, which is located in the heart of the city on Sadovaya Street.

The four-story building was erected in 1907-1909. The architect was Fyodor Ivanovich Lidval. In the USSR the building was nationalized, and in the early 1990s it housed Metrozhilingstroy and then a branch of Baltiysky Bank. Later the object was used as a shopping center.

At the moment it belongs to FSUE "Directorate for Investment Activities", which will receive 80% of the proceeds from the sale. At the moment the initial price is 578 million rubles.

The house tried to sell back in May 2024, but the only potential buyer was denied participation in the auction, as he was associated with the gambling business. As a result, the auction was not held due to the lack of participants.

Earlier it was reported that on Nevsky Prospekt Bankirsky house "Vavelberg" will be converted into an elite sports complex.

It became known that on July 6 in St. Petersburg will open a furniture hypermarket similar to IKEA.
