The plant was built in the 1930s according to the project of architect Noah Trotsky.

“Petersburg 2” writes that the area of the complex of buildings on Moskovskoe shosse, 13, is 120 thousand square meters (excluding the CHPP). Part of the buildings were built in the late Soviet period.

Now the complex is in a deplorable condition: the buildings are destroyed and may collapse. However, the meat processing plant is an object of cultural heritage, so it was proposed to restore the buildings and use them for an educational institution.

Earlier it was reported that from May 25 in St. Petersburg will begin to close streets for repairs, and there is also a competition for the best memorial to the Battle of Leningrad.
