Dmitry Lisovets, head of the health committee, said that only after vaccination of 80% of residents of the Northern capital will it be possible to mitigate anti-Covid restrictions in the city.

In St. Petersburg, the deterioration of the epidemiological situation continues, despite all the additional restrictions on the fight against coronavirus infection.

"The number of hospitalized patients during the week is high, more than 7 thousand beds are occupied, therefore these decisions are made, in the conditions of which we live," said Lisovets.

It is necessary to reach 80% of vaccinations in a short time, since the certificates of St. Petersburgers vaccinated at the beginning of 2021 will soon expire, the chairman informed.
