According to the press-service of the Committee on informatization and communications, St. Petersburg service "122" recorded a peak load: almost 200 thousand calls were received during the day.

Specialists warn that because of the sharp increase in the number of calls there may be failures in the system. According to statistics most calls fall in the period from 7 to 11 a.m. on Monday.

In St. Petersburg the technical capacity to receive telephone requests has been doubled, as well as the number of operators has been increased. Earlier the service was designed to receive 3.5 thousand calls at a time, but since January 31 it is possible to receive up to 8 thousand calls.

Service "122" accepts calls around the clock.
