The Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolay Patrushev reported about number of the prevented terrorist attacks in the CFD. It was made thanks to work of security service.
"In the Central Russia in 2020 five terrorist attacks were prevented. Three of them were planned to be made in places of a big congestion of people. Besides, law enforcement agencies neutralized eight crimes of terrorist character", – Nikolay Patrushev reported during the meeting on topical issues of national security in Russian regions.
According to the secretary of the Security Council of Russia, in the CFD, events for definition of the list of crowded places are held to improve safety of regions. In particular, a list of religious sites has been formed, where a large number of parishioners accumulate, including work on the certification of the population.
"In the legislation they made the proposal on maintaining to continuous video filming in crowded places. Operational information about actions in case of terrorist attack and in case of attack threat is brought to the population", – Nikolay Patrushev added.
The secretary of the Security Council also reported about attempt of strengthening of positions of "Jehovah's Witnesses" (banned in the Russian Federation), scientologists and other extremist groups.
