Russia will join conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, but on one condition

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to the appeal of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The inclusion of Russia in the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh may occur.

"The Russian Federation is committed to allied agreements with Armenia. In accordance with the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance, Moscow will provide Yerevan with all the necessary assistance, but if the hostilities are transferred to the territory of Armenia," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent Vladimir Putin an official letter asking for assistance due to the ongoing conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. In particular, the Armenian Prime Minister pointed to the participation in the armed conflict of terrorists and mercenaries from the Middle East, whom Turkey continues to transfer.

Armenian Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan also reported on the use of white phosphorus munitions in Nagorno-Karabakh. Presumably, Baku was going to set fire to forests near which there are settlements.
