A Hamas leader, Haniyeh, has been killed in Tehran

The Hamas movement has already issued an official statement on this event, in which they attribute all responsibility for Haniyeh's death to Israel. It became known that the strike on Haniyeh's location occurred after he took part in the planned inauguration ceremony of the new Iranian president.

The Mehr news agency, citing a statement by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), informed the public that Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Hamas movement, was killed in an attack on his residence in the capital Tehran, an attack they blamed on Israeli forces.

Al-Hadas TV channel reported that Haniyeh, who was practically in the bedroom of his own house, was killed by a direct hit from a missile, where his close associate, “right hand man” Wasim Abu Shaaban, was also killed. This event took place after Haniyeh's personal participation in the planned inauguration ceremony of Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian.

At the moment there is an active armed conflict between the forces of Israel and Palestine, which also involves numerous paramilitary and terrorist groups.

Many world leaders, political figures, including allies of both Palestine and Israel, are in favor of an early end to the Arab-Israeli conflict and call on the parties to hold negotiations.
