Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the UN Security Council earlier called for Russia to be expelled from the Council itself and the UN General Assembly.
The expulsion of a country from the UN General Assembly is possible only through the Security Council of the organization, the representative of the head of the 67th session of the UNGA, Pauline Kubiak, said at a briefing.
This is how she commented on the relevant call of the Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.
"All such decisions go through the UN Security Council," Kubiak said.
The president of Ukraine at a meeting of the UN Security Council on Tuesday, June 28, called for the exclusion of Russia from the Security Council and the UNGA.
