The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the end of the fall draft. According to the ministry, 130,000 people have been recruited for compulsory military service.
At the beginning of the draft, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu stated this figure as a plan for recruiting new recruits. He emphasized that none of the conscripts would enter the special operation zone.
2,700 draft commissions were formed. They began work on October 2, 2023, and two weeks later, on October 16, the dispatch of conscripts to the places of service began.
For this purpose, 14 flights of military and 199 flights of civil aviation, motor transport, 10 military echelons and more than 1400 cars of passenger trains were used.
Earlier it was reported that the fall draft in 2024 will be held with electronic summonses.
