Chat bots have been blocked for less than a day.
The Ukrainian Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security has announced in its Telegram channel that the official chatbots of the Ukrainian security services blocked by Telegram, including the SBU and the messenger of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Defence Ministry, which were blocked on 28 April, have resumed working.
Earlier, the GSD said that Telegram had blocked many of the country's official chatbots, including messengers.
On March 25, Kirill Budanov, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's chief intelligence chief, who has been charged in Russian Federation with involvement in terrorist attacks, called the Telegram messenger a problem for the country's national security. GUR spokesman Andriy Yusov also called Telegram a threat to national security. In November 2023, the then director of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksiy Danilov, said that Telegram should be blocked in Ukraine as a malicious application.
