Foreigners may soon be barred from using surrogacy services in Russia. Deputies have supported the bill, which deprives other countries’ citizens of such an opportunity.
The bill was supported by members of the relevant committees, i.e. on health protection, information policy, family, children and women, on anti-corruption and security, on issues of religious and public associations, civil society development, communications and information technology.
Margarita Pavlova, a member of the working group preparing the draft law, told TASS. She is also a member of the Security and Defense Committee of the Council of the Federation.
According to the senator, the bill has already been sent to the government, which should give its conclusion there.
