Venezuela supplies oil to China despite US sanctions

Venezuela resumed oil supplies to China. They were carried out underground for more than a year due to the US sanctions imposed last year.

This conclusion was made by Reuters, based on the information of the analytical service Refinitiv Eikon, as well as internal documents of the Venezuelan state-owned company PDVSA.

The first Venezuelan oil was transported by the Kyoto tanker. In August of this year, he loaded 1.8 million barrels of fuel on board at the port of Jose in Venezuela.

In November, PetroChina tankers were loaded with oil in Venezuela. In addition, in Baiyutsuan, Venezuelan oil was unloaded by the Warrior King tanker.

We remind that the United States imposed a number of sanctions on Venezuela in 2019. The most painful for the authorities was the freezing of accounts in Europe, the blocking in the United States of assets worth seven billion dollars of the oil and gas company PDVSA.

The White House believes that losses from oil supplies should be about $11 billion.
