Erdogan: Turkey to launch new military operation in Syria

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan threatened to launch a new military operation in the Middle East. Syria may act as the victim again.

"Recently, we neutralized terrorists who threatened our territory. If they do not move away from the Turkish border, we will begin a new military operation. The United States is trying to create a new war zone along the Iraqi-Syrian border," Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during a speech to the Justice and Development Party.

The Turkish president said that the military units controlled by him "are able to clear Syria of all terrorist organizations." We remind that Ankara conducted three military operations in Syria, known as the Euphrates Shield, the Olive Branch and the Source of Peace.

On October 26, in the city of Iskenderun, which is located on the border with Syria, Turkish security forces neutralized two terrorists. An improvised explosive device was found with them, which was detonated during the escape. A terrorist attack in Ankara was also reported.

During a speech in the government Recep Tayyip Erdogan also said that Russia attacked the Syrian opposition in Idlib. When striking the camp of Jabal Duveil, 40 militants were killed, almost 60 people were injured.
