Macron: relations between Russia and EU should be restored

French President Emmanuel Macron spoke in favor of a consistent restoration of relations with Russia. This process is important in the context of European security.

"The EU and Russia must restore trust. Without Russia, security cannot be guaranteed, our goal is to ensure a calm life for all European countries," Emmanuel Macron said following a meeting with Estonian Prime Minister Juri Ratas.

The French leader said that among the latest problems are the situations in Nagorno-Karabakh and Belarus. "Security issues are multiplying. They all need to be discussed with Moscow." - said Emmanuel Macron. The French President also expressed satisfaction with the establishment of relations with Estonia.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said earlier that Baku will require Nagorno-Karabakh to return three regions at once. The politician also accused Armenia of disrupting the armistice, war crimes and violating the provisions of the Geneva convention.

In Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, according to preliminary and unconfirmed estimates, more than 11 thousand people died.
