The heads of states held a telephone conversation, the main topic of which was the aggravation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan in connection with the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh region. The conversation took place at the initiative of the Armenian leader.
According to RIA Novosti, referring to the Kremlin's press service, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan initiated a telephone conversation between the heads of two states.
The main issue of the conversation was the aggravation of the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.
Vladimir Putin expressed serious concern over the resumption of military conflicts in Nagorno-Karabakh region.
The leaders also noted the importance of using all possible efforts to prevent further escalation of the conflict in Karabakh. The heads of states agreed on the need to stop hostilities.
