Turkey and the UN are trying to revive a grain deal.
Turkish and UN authorities are discussing possibilities to hold talks with a Russian technical delegation in Istanbul on a grain deal, a source involved in the talks told RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the Milliyet daily Milliyet reported on the possibility of holding trilateral talks on the grain deal.
According to the source, Ankara and the UN are preparing concrete proposals to discuss this possibility. He added that contacts are being made through appropriate channels.
The grain deal expired on July 18: Russia informed Turkey, Ukraine and the UN that it objected to its extension.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia would return to the grain deal after the fulfillment of its conditions.
