Yuliya Tymoshenko, leader of the Fatherland party and former Ukrainian prime minister, has criticized the new version of the law on mobilization.
Tymoshenko said that her faction in the Rada would not vote for lowering the age limit for conscripts from 27 to 25. According to the Ukrainian mass media, Tymoshenko said that employees of law-enforcement agencies - police officers, prosecutors, employees of the economic security bureau, etc. - could be sent to the front. According to the former prime minister, there are hundreds of thousands of them, and they know how to hold a gun and know how to fight.
The Batkivshchyna leader called the new law on mobilization ineffective. According to her, the mobilization of 25-year-olds, women and the blind will not lead to the desired results.
Earlier it was reported that in Ukraine announced the abolition of deferment from conscription for some categories of citizens.
