MP Mamulashvili announced Georgia's plans to close the border to men from Russia from September 26

According to the leader of the opposition party «United National Movement» Nona Mamulashvili, entry into the country will be prohibited for men aged 18 to 55 years.

Georgia is planning to close the border for men from Russia due to the large number of entries from Monday, September 26. This statement was made by Nona Mamulashvili, an MP of the country's opposition party United National Movement, on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel FreeDom.

According to her, the authorities of the country have done nothing to stop the "mass influx of Russians". Mamulashvili said the borders will be closed on Monday, September 26. Mamulashvili stressed that this was the only thing they could do at this stage.

According to her, men aged 18 to 55 will be banned from entering Georgia. There have been no official comments from the country's authorities so far.

Earlier, a Russian woman showed the situation on the border between Russia and Georgia. She made a video of a many kilometers long queue of cars. According to her, she stood in line for 19 hours on the border five years ago. Now the traffic jam is longer, said the Russian resident.
