Relatives of Armenian military missing in NKR appeal to Russia for help

Relatives of soldiers from Armenia who disappeared in Nagorno-Karabakh during the hostilities turned to Russia with a request to actively search for people. The action took place near the building of the Russian Embassy in Yerevan.

Several dozen people gathered in the Armenian capital near the building of the Russian embassy. People wrote a letter asking to strengthen the search for people in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Russian consul in Armenia Andrei Shanin came to the rally participants, who took the letter and promised to transfer it to Moscow.

The request was sent to Russian President Vladimir Putin. In the letter, relatives of the missing Armenian soldiers ask to influence the leadership of Azerbaijan to give permission to conduct search work in the territories transferred in accordance with the tripartite agreements on the settlement of the conflict.

The Russian consul promised to transmit information directly to Moscow, since earlier information about missing people came to them only through the media. The Russian President previously noted that the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh is stabilizing, Russian peacekeepers continue to provide security to local residents.
