An article in the French newspaper Le Figaro by political scientist Nicolas Baveret, who claims that "the shadow of Moscow has spread over the whole of Europe", caused a storm of indignation among readers. They called on journalists not to demonize the Russian Federation.

“Why is no one talking about the shadow that Washington has cast on Europe? This is who really caught up with the darkness, moving their pawns straight to the walls of Russia! ”, - noted the commentator under the nickname JFB.

Network user elrousa2 agreed with his opinion: "The Europeans are under the influence of the United States, which is trying with all its might to split Europe into supporters and opponents of the so-called Western democracy." He called on the inhabitants of Europe to reconsider their attitude towards the Russian Federation once again.

“There are a lot of influential French politicians who have a great relationship with Russia,” added Treppix.

"Russia must be treated well, not the way we are doing now," said a reader under the nickname Occitane. He called Russian President Vladimir Putin a sensible leader with a strong character. According to the Internet user, France "is just not enough now."

“If we showed a little more understanding in relation to Russia, France would get an excellent ally, and we do not have enough of them now - we just really do not have enough,” Occitane summed up.

Earlier, readers of Le Figaro suggested that France leave NATO and become an ally of Russia.
