Hungary is one of the priority areas of international cooperation for the «Operator of the Gas Transmission System of Ukraine». It provided 90% of gas imports.
According to the press service of the company, even after the stoppage of physical transit, gas imports to Ukraine from Hungary continued. Last month, the volume of supplies was 37m million cubic meters of blue fuel.
Earlier, Ukraine said that the state gas transport system lost about 4.5 billion cubic meters of gas from the gas agreement between Russia and Hungary.
On 14 October, the Hungarian authorities said that they had decided to supply gas not through Ukraine in the interests of the country's energy security. The long-term supply agreement between Hungary and Gazprom came into force on 1 October.
