US military base in Syria hit by missiles

The US military base located in the province of Deir ez-Zor in Syria has been hit by rocket fire, there are victims among the US servicemen.

This was reported by Al-Mayadeen TV channel.

"Rockets of unknown origin were fired at the US base at the Conoco gas field in northern Deir ez-Zor province. US military personnel were wounded as a result of the shelling," the TV channel said in a report.

It is noted that the US Armed Forces together with Arab-Kurdish armed formations of the "Syrian Democratic Forces" illegally control the territories in the north and north-east of Syria in the provinces of Deir ez-Zor, al-Hasakeh and Raqqa, where the largest oil and gas fields in Syria are located.

Official Damascus has repeatedly called the presence of US troops on its land an occupation and state piracy for the sake of blatant oil theft.

At the same time, there are frequent reports of attacks on US troops in northern Syria by groups of unidentified armed militias.
