US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland says new anti-Russian sanctions will be devastating.
US State Department Deputy Chief of Staff Victoria Nuland has said that new US sanctions against Russia will be devastating.
Nuland said during an event at the Centre for Strategic Studies that the United States will have a devastating new sanctions package that will include "hundreds and hundreds" of restrictions.
The deputy secretary of state specified that most of the restrictions are designed against the Russian defence-industrial complex to close the "gap in the sanctions regime" that has been circumvented.
In addition, Nuland noted that America also plans to impose sanctions because of the death of Alexei Navalny (recognised in Russia as a terrorist and extremist).
