A group of experts of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) assessed the extent of damage at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant.
IAEA experts have assessed the extent of damage that was caused by intensive shelling over the weekend at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the agency's head Rafael Grossi said.
According to him, despite the force of the shelling, key equipment remained undamaged and there were no immediate problems with nuclear safety.
The inspectors also noted that the condition of the plant's six units is now stable.
They confirmed the integrity of spent fuel, fresh fuel and low-, medium- and high-level waste in storage facilities, the IAEA said in a statement on its website.
