Nikol Pashinyan urges Armenian citizens to take up arms

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called on fellow citizens to take up weapons to protect Nagorno-Karabakh. This is the only way to achieve an «acceptable solution.»

"No matter what happens, we must fight for the rights of our people. Today, in the context of the fight against Azerbaijan, this speaks of the need to take up arms and protect our homeland," Nikol Pashinyan said live on his Facebook page.

The Armenian Prime Minister said that today Baku "does not agree to anything but the surrender of Nagorno-Karabakh." "You all know what this means," Nikol Pashinyan said.

The politician also said live that the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh could not be resolved diplomatically. Nikol Pashinyan announced the need to "postpone all proposals" to resolve the issue peacefully.

Member of the French Senate Valerie Boyer had previously submitted a proposal for recognition of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. The OSCE reported that for this, the EU member states should come to a common agreement.
