United States citizens donated more than $27.5 million to Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign in five hours, according to fundraising platform ActBlue.
Joe Biden had previously announced that he was withdrawing from the presidential race and endorsing her vice presidential candidacy.
ActBlue noted that small donors raised more than $27.5 million in the first five hours of Harris' presidential campaign. Supporters from ordinary American citizens are full of enthusiasm to support her as the Democratic nominee, the organization added.
The U.S. presidential election will be held on Nov. 5.
