Tikhanovskaya: protests in Belarus will continue as much as necessary

Protests in Belarus will not weaken - they will last weeks, months or even years. This was stated by former presidential candidate, oppositionist Svetlana Tikhanovskaya during a speech at a meeting of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament.

She noted that the current government hopes that "protests will gradually weaken."

"But we will protest as much as we need - weeks, months or even years, if necessary," she said.

In addition, Tikhanovskaya proposed to provide the names of Belarusian officials to the European Parliament for the introduction of EU sanctions.
