French Senate member Valerie Boyer proposed recognizing Nagorno-Karabakh. The corresponding document will be introduced this week.
"We plan to recognize the sovereignty of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, as well as condemn the actions of Turkey and Azerbaijan in this region. Confrontation with Azerbaijan in Karabakh means resistance to the spread of Turkish Islam in Europe," Valerie Boyer wrote on her Twitter page.
The OSCE press service reports that the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh needs to be resolved only if there is a consensus of 57 participating countries. The views and statements of individual politicians in the OSCE are not considered.
The United States reported the possible expulsion of Turkey from NATO for aggravating the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Russia, France and the United States of supplying arms to Armenia. Similar accusations were made in the opposite direction.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan previously announced the possible start of Russia's anti-terrorist operation in Nagorno-Karabakh. The reason is the possible penetration of terrorists into Russian territory.
