Jaanika Karp, head of the shift at the Narva border checkpoint, told the Postimees that 10 Russians were denied entry into Estonia on September 19, the first day of the ban on Schengen visas.

The reasons were different, including the ban itself, introduced in Estonia earlier.

"Estonian border guards refused to let ten Russian citizens into the country. Among the reasons are both the ban and other circumstances," Karp said.

She also noted that Russians calmly reacted to the denial of entry, because they understand that the border guards are doing their job.

Recall, Estonia, as well as Poland, Latvia and Lithuania have banned Russian citizens to enter the territory of their countries with Schengen visas since 00:00 September 19. There are exceptions for some categories of citizens.
