Before a meeting of the international contact group at the NATO base in Ramstein, Germany, the head of the American military department, Lloyd Austin, said that a turning point was coming in the Ukrainian conflict.

"Now is not the time to slow down. The Ukrainians are looking at us, the Kremlin is looking at us, and history is looking at us," Austin said.

Once again, the Pentagon chief assured that the United States would continue to provide military and financial assistance to the Ukrainian authorities for as long as necessary.

It is known that Austin earlier held a conversation with the new head of the German Defense Ministry, Pistorius, but failed to persuade the German minister to supply tanks to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

It is noted that during the meeting in Ramstein, a decision may be taken to provide the Kiev regime with heavy military equipment.
