US wants to expel Turkey from NATO because of Al-Qaeda fighters in Karabakh

Member of the US House of Representatives Tulsi Gabbard proposes to decide the fate of Turkey in NATO. The former presidential candidate wants to expel the country from the alliance.

"Tulsi Gabbard proposes to exclude Turkey from NATO. This is stated in a new resolution, according to which attacks on US military forces are condemned," the Armenian National Committee of America said on Twitter.

Turkey's expulsion from NATO should take place due to the aggravation of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. Azerbaijan's support from Turkey is "unacceptable" and contradicts NATO's position.

The American resolution also refers to participation in the armed conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh using F-16 fighters, including the involvement of foreign mercenaries. In particular, Washington accuses Turkey of attracting terrorists from al-Qaeda and the IS organization (banned in Russia).

The United States demands the end of the armed conflict and the transition to the stage of peace negotiations. Canada has already refused to supply weapons to Turkey. In addition, the document says about the liquidation of the Turkish fighter F-16 by the Armenian Armed Forces.

The United States also condemned Turkey's tests of the С-400 air defense system, which were bought from Russia. This is a violation of allied agreements, they emphasized in Washington.
