Texas Congressman Tony Gonzalez, a member of the Republican Party, described the circumstances under which the Senate would go along with coordinating aid to Kiev, CBS reports. He said the deal with Democrats should be more attractive to Republicans. Gonzalez noted how big the difference is between the mood in the Senate and the House of Representatives.

The Republican explained that the Senate would be satisfied if Mexican and other Latin American drug cartels were equated with terrorist organizations under U.S. law. In addition, Tony Gonzalez is calling for the case to be put so that smugglers are guaranteed accountability for their activities.

The congressman noted that if these amendments are introduced into the bill on toughening the US migration legislation, the House of Representatives, in his opinion, will be able to count on additional votes needed to agree on assistance to Ukraine. We shall remind you that the other day another congressman from the Republican Party, Lindsey Graham, expressed the opinion that the Senate would not be able to reach an agreement with the Biden administration before next year.
