Google fired employees who protested the corporation's cooperation with Israel

According to the New York Post, Google has fired employees who staged a 10-hour sit-in protest in New York and California against the corporation's contracts with Israel. The protesters demanded the termination of the contract "Project Nimbus" worth 1.2 billion dollars, which was concluded with the government of Israel and aimed at the development of neural networks for the needs of the army. The corporation's management called the action "completely unacceptable." A total of 28 people have been fired.

At the moment, Israel has been fighting bloody, primarily for civilians, in the Gaza Strip against the Islamist militants of Hamas for six months. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, 31,553 people have been killed by bombings and related causes in March 16 since October 7, and another 73,546 are listed as injured. About 50 civilians are killed daily in Gaza by Israeli shelling.

Israel's intervention has provoked massive protests around the world, and especially in Islamic and Arab countries. European and American citizens also participated in protest rallies and actions.
