Israel says 2,900 rockets have been fired in its direction from the Gaza Strip.
The world is watching the most serious escalation of the conflict between Israel and Palestine in recent times. About 2,900 rockets have been fired from the Gaza Strip since May 10. The Israeli army spokesman's office said.
"Of these, 1,150 were intercepted by Iron Dome air defenses, with 450 rockets falling in Gaza itself," the official statement said.
During the day, the Israeli army struck 90 Hamas and Islamic Jihad military facilities in the Gaza Strip in response to the rocket fire.
We recall that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict escalated again on 10 May. This followed the court-ordered forced eviction of Palestinian families from the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood of Jerusalem.
It started with clashes in the street and turned into a military confrontation. There have been human casualties on both sides.
