The Swiss government has no plans to join the international group for the search and confiscation of frozen assets of Russia (REPO). This is reported by the Federal Department of Economics, Education and Research (EAER).
The ministry noted that Switzerland has built up good cooperation with international partners on sanctions against Russia, especially at the technical level. It is because of this that the Federal Council does not see the need to formally join REPO.
Bern is monitoring the work of its partners in the transfer of frozen Russian assets to Ukraine. Switzerland will take into account its legal system for decision-making if it decides to join the task force.
We shall remind you that Russia and Belarus set a record of mutual trade in Br4.2 trillion.
