Former U.S. President Bill Clinton was taken to a hospital in California.
According to the television channel CNN, Clinton's illness is not related to the coronavirus.
The reason for the hospitalization of the former head of the White House was blood poisoning. 75-year-old Clinton is being treated with antibiotics, the TV channel reported.
According to CNN, the former president was taken to a hospital in California already infected, he caught the infection not in a medical facility.
"He is being treated with antibiotics, and doctors say he responds positively ," the channel notes.
Clinton spokeswoman reported that the former head of state is "on the mend."
