Peskov said that Russia cannot increase gas supplies to Europe

Russia has increased to the maximum gas supplies to the EU countries under existing contracts and cannot increase fuel exports, said presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

According to him, Russia is flawlessly fulfilling all agreements on the upper limit, i.e. all volumes of supplies have been increased up to the possible maximum taking into account the existing contracts.

The Kremlin spokesman recommended addressing the supply issues to the Russian state corporation Gazprom.

In early October, after a meeting on energy, President Vladimir Putin announced that Moscow was ready to increase gas supplies to the EU to stabilize market prices.
