EU agrees on blacklist due to Navalny case

The Committee of Permanent Representatives of the European Union agreed on a sanctions list against Russia because of the situation with the alleged poisoning of opposition leader Alexei Navalny. It included «about five» people, although nine were originally proposed.

"The ambassadors reached an agreement on a personal list of restrictions over Navalny's poisoning. It included about five people, the names will later be published in the Official Journal of the EU," writes TASS, citing a diplomatic source in Brussels.

At the same time, RIA News writes that the EU has agreed on sanctions against six people and one organization.

We remind that initially Germany and France proposed the EU to impose sanctions against nine individuals. Restrictions will include a ban on entry into the EU and freezing assets in the countries of the union for a year.
