Burgess believes that the problem poses a threat to Australian citizens.
Some friendly countries are interfering in Australia's internal affairs, Australia's head of domestic intelligence Mike Burgess has said.
He said in an interview with ABC News that the intelligence agency has identified at least 3-4 countries actively interfering in the affairs of Australian communities.
Burgess believes that the issue poses a threat to Australian citizens because these countries include friendly nations. Some of them are allies, the intelligence chief added.
Burgess warned that if such operations continue, he will be forced to disclose the list of the countries in question and address them publicly.
