US President Joe Biden invited Vladimir Zelensky to the White House on December 12 amid uncertainty over the agreement of new funds to support Kiev.
US leader Joe Biden has invited his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the White House on 12 December due to uncertainty over the agreement on new aid to Kiev, the press service of the US administration has said.
It is noted that Biden during the meeting will declare America's "unwavering commitment" to support the Ukrainian people.
The presidents will discuss the needs of Ukraine and the importance of continued support from the United States at a critical moment, the White House specified.
Zelensky's office said that the main topics for discussion in the American capital will be further defense cooperation between the countries, in particular, joint production of weapons and air defense systems (air defense), as well as coordination of efforts between the States and Ukraine next year.
Earlier, John Kirby, coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council, again spoke about the shortage of funds for assistance to Ukraine.
