The European Union is considering to include the Russian company Aeroflot in the sanctions package due to the crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border. This was reported by Bloomberg on Wednesday, November 10, citing an EU official.

The sanctions are also planned against the Turkish company Turkish Airlines.

These airlines can get blacklisted for their alleged involvement in the migrant crisis. The EU believes that Aeroflot and Turkish Airlines are involved in the transportation of migrants from the Middle East to Belarus. Refugees then try to cross the border into Poland.

The final decision on the sanctions package is scheduled for December.
